From Camague, Cuba to Moultrie, Georgia, Dr. Alfred E. Aguero has faithfully served the South Georgia community for over 25 years.
Born in 1963 in Camague, Cuba, Alfred Aguero came to the United States in order to pursue an education and career in dentistry. Initially landing in South Georgia at Valdosta State College, Aguero received his Bachelor of Science before pursuing dental school at the Medical College of Georgia from 1986-1990, receiving his Doctorate in Dental Medicine (DMD) in 1990 and Certification In Periodontics in 1992.
During his time in college, Aguero amassed quite the extracurricular resume in addition to those credentials. He was an active member of a number of honor societies and organizations such as Alpha Lamda Delta, Sigma Alpha Chi, and Omicron Delta Kappa. Even more, he served as President over Kappa Alpha Order, the Student Alumni Association, the Intra-fraternity council, his Class Board for all four years, and the entire Student Government in 1989. He was honored with the Mac Award (Most Outstanding College Man), the Outstanding Academic Achievement in Oral Pathology Award, the Quintessence Award for Research, and the Medical College of Georgia Research Award in Oral Implantology.
With a strong educational background, bi-lingual advantage thanks to his Cuban heritage, and resolute conviction regarding his purpose, Dr. Aguero began practicing in Moultrie, Georgia in 1992. As a member of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, he chose to focus on Dental Implantology and Dental Reconstruction, but he also sought to provide a more holistic and diversified dental practice for individuals and families in the area. By proving reconstructive, cosmetic, general, and family dental solutions, Dr. Aguero has compassionately and successfully cared for thousands of South Georgia residents for over 25 years.
His wife, two children, and now one grandchild all happily live in the Moultrie community in which he serves, and he looks forward to many more years of faithful service.
